Are you ready to transform your home into a recycling center? Let's get started!

We all know that recycling is a great idea, but do we really put it into practice? Nature constantly recycles and reuses everything, so why does it seem so challenging for us? The truth is, we often consume without fully realizing the damage we're causing. For example, every year, 500 billion plastic bags end up in our oceans. It's time to break the cycle of waste and make more sustainable choices.

By taking actions like properly separating your waste, reusing packaging, and making conscious purchases, you can play a vital role in improving our planet. Remember, think globally and act locally!

The objective of this challenge is to create an attractive and functional home recycling center that makes it easier for you and your family to go green and recycle more of the waste you generate.

Materials

Computer and/or phone.

Instructions

Let's make recycling ♻️ fun by taking two actions that reduce packaging waste:

First Action: Create your own waste containers. Pick your favorite container, design, and decorate it with colors that help you separate the daily waste generated in your home.

Second Action: Give a second life to a package, aluminum cans, or a container by making them reusable. Get creative! You might even turn them into a plant pot. Show how your plant thrives on the UKDG platform.

Follow these steps:

Complete the two actions as described.

Take "before" and "after" pictures for each action and share them with us.

Post the four challenge pictures on UKDG and explain why recycling ♻️ at home is important.
